Friday Oct 24th is our old scholars reunion:
12.20 p.m. – Children have their lunch break
1.00 p.m. – 2.40 p.m. School tours commence – these occur every 20 minutes and are led by our school student leaders. As there will be over 400 visitors we have also developed a self-guided tour brochure of the history of the school that has 16 viewing stations. During this time the Exhibition Hall and the classes will be open to visit and view. All classes will have displays of their current work that will also have a history focus.
2.40 p.m. The school band will play in yard B and this will be followed by the school assembly at 2.50 p.m.
The assembly will be a walk down memory lane – well it is a 100 year walk. The Mayor will also retell a little of his memory of the school – Mayor Picton was once our School Council Chairperson.
3.10 – 3.40 p.m. The children are dismissed for the day at 3.10 p.m. but the rooms will remain open until 3.40 p.m.
4.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. There will be refreshments, bar tent and memorabilia on sale in Yard A. The Exhibition Hall will be open for viewing and Alex Smallwood will entertain us with jazz piano pieces
The Exhibition will be open on Friday morning for parents to come in and view. It will be spectacular with a collection of photos, artefacts from the years, the history of the world and the school, children’s work, the 1989 Time capsule is on display (a must view) and our student’s current time capsule that will be sealed after the event.
