Managed iPad Device Usage

Each device incudes: iPad, iPad cover, charging cable, charging plug, box

Students are welcome to decorate the cover with appropriate stickers suitable for school to easily identify them but please do not remove or cover any of the existing stickers.

If the iPad is to remain at school once the student leaves, the cover will need to be cleared / cleaned so in this case please don’t add anything in permanent markers etc.

At School:

  • Devices are managed by the school, ensuring access to approved educational apps and resources only.
  • iPads are used during lessons to support learning, research, and collaboration.
  • Classroom usage is supervised by teachers in accordance with the school’s ICT and digital citizenship policies.
  • Internet access is filtered to comply with department guidelines for student safety. (Devices automatically connect to the school’s network when at school, but immediately disconnect when leaving the school property).
  • Students are responsible for using devices respectfully, following the school’s acceptable use guidelines.
  • Any device misuse may result in restricted access or disciplinary action.
  • Devices should be kept secure and charged.

At Home:

  • Home use is intended to support homework and research.
  • Devices should be treated as a personal school tool and resource, and not be shared with friends or family members.
  • Device settings and available applications remain managed by the school remotely.
  • Internet access at home is not filtered by the school; families are encouraged to use parental controls when connecting to networks outside of the school.
  • Students must follow school policies even when using devices at home.
  • Devices should be stored safely and charged overnight.
  • Parents are encouraged to supervise device use and discuss safe online behaviours with their children.
  • Any technical issues or damage should be reported to the school promptly.
