Parent Representatives

Mark Anders
Chairperson
Mark joined the Governing Council in 2021 and has 1 child attending the school. Mark is in his fourth year as chairperson and having a finance and accounting background Mark has previously taken on the role of Treasurer and was chair of the finance committee.
Mark enjoys working with the Governing Council members and other people in the school community to assist provide a memorable primary school experience for the children.

Lauren Turner
Treasurer
Lauren is new to the school with her son Archie starting reception in 2026. Lauren joined the Governing Council with a view to get to know the school and its leadership better. Lauren enjoys contributing having been the treasurer at a local community childcare and local kindergarten.
Professionally, Lauren is a practicing Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor with a recent background in commercial lending. Lauren is excited to make a meaningful contribution to the school and Governing Council.

Alex Naylor
Secretary
I’m excited to be a member of Westbourne Park Primary School’s governing council. My daughter joined the school community in 2024. I was struck by the strong sense of community at the school and wanted to be more involved. As a teacher, I’m passionate about supporting young people to develop their passions and skills. I have over 15 years of education experience and have worked in a variety of roles within schools and the Department for Education. I place a strong value on the link between wellbeing and learning and how these can shape our children to thrive in our society. I look forward to contributing positively to our school’s future.

James Telford
James has been a parent of the school since 2017, with Jackson graduating in 2023 and April currently in Year 6. This is his sixth year on the Governing Council. James’ family values our wonderful school community and views the Governing Council as a helpful link to the WPPS leadership and teaching team.

Phillipa Marsh
Proxy Chair
Philippa has 3 children: Eden and Oscar, who are both in year 5 at the school, and Isla, who graduated in 2025. Philippa is a teacher with many years of classroom experience and is now a Lecturer at Adelaide Uni. Philippa has been on the Governing Council since 2019 and this year she continues to work with a wonderful group of parents to coordinate the Fundraising and Community Engagement Committee.

Jessica Walkley
Jess has two children at WPPS: Zara in year 4 and Patrick in year 2. This year is her third year on the Governing Council and is also on the Canteen Committee.
Professionally, Jess is a Critical Care Nurse at Flinders Medical Centre and Nurse Consultant for MedSTAR Retrieval service. She also enjoys her role as a Casual Academic at Flinders University. Beyond her professional commitments, Jess is all about connecting with people and lending a hand. She’s excited to bring positive energy to the WPPS community and make a difference on the Governing Council.

Chris Gobbett
Chris is the father of two daughters attending WPPS, Isabel (Year 5) and Lucy (Year 2), and with his third year on the Governing Council is looking to contribute to and help improve the school for students today and into the future.
Chris has a background in engineering and computer science working in private and public sectors, and currently works in program management overseeing research and development activities relating to cybersecurity.

Rebekah Hudson
Rebekah is a people and culture leader in the public sector, was a governing council member and fundraising chair at kindy. Rebekah is looking forward to contributing to our school community.

Sam Wigg
Sam Joined the Governing Council in 2026 and is looking forward to making a contribution to improve the school for current and future students. He loves being a part of the Westbourne Park community and is passionate about the role the community plays in education. He has been a parent of WPPS since 2020 and has 3 daughters currently attending the school, Sienna (year 6), Piper (Year 3) and Isabelle (Year 1).

Rebecca McCallum
Bec has a son who is in year one at WPPS. Bec works in the public sector as a systems specialist, where she supports and improves the digital tools that help deliver vital services to the community.
This is Bec’s first year on the Governing Council, and she is excited to be part of a group that plays such an important role in shaping the direction of our school. Bec is looking forward to contributing her skills, learning more about how WPPS operates, and representing our school community as we continue to create a positive environment for all students.

Kaes Cillessen
Kaes joined the Governing Council in 2026 and has one son, Tobias, who started Reception at Westbourne Park Primary School in the same year.
Kaes has a background in policy, public relations and governance, and currently works for an industry association and trade school. Kaes is enthusiastic about working closely with the school and the broader community to help strengthen partnerships and support positive outcomes for students.

Sean Mullin
Teacher
I am currently teaching year 5 and have been at the school for many years. I have two adult children who attended WPPS and have been heavily involved in Governing Council for most of my time here. I highly value my role in representing my colleagues and working with Council members on continually improving our school.

Tilly
Teacher
I have been teaching for 6 years and have spent the last 5 years at Westbourne Park. I am currently teaching in the Junior Primary team in Reception. I completed my Masters of Teaching and Learning in Auckland, New Zealand. It is my second year on Governing Council and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the teaching and learning community.
